Join Metro MFT in Annapolis to advocate for the profession and practice of marriage and family therapy. Each year we come together as a community to educate our legislators about how valuable our unique training is in helping better the community around us. In previous years we have been successful in communicating the importance of keeping 3 seats for MFTs on the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists and educating other MFTs about the important issues impacting our practice as mental health professionals.
The day will start at 8:00am and will end around 1:00pm. Parking in downtown Annapolis is limited so we recommend parking at the Navy Marine Corps Stadium ($5 fee) and taking the ($2) shuttle to our meeting point in front of the Lowe House Office Building, which is adjacent to the James Senate Office Building. From there you will given a folder with talking points and a detailed itinerary of our scheduled meetings with legislators.
