The following positions will be voted on for terms beginning January 1, 2025:
Advocacy Officer (2 year term)
- Communicates with other legislative bodies for advocacy causes with the President
- Leads Advocacy Day event(s)
- Leads Advocacy Committee
- Coordinates member attendance to monthly BOPCAT meetings
- Educates other MFTs, MFT students, the public, and/or legislators about the MFT profession
- Documents history of MFT advocacy efforts and future goals
- Maintains contact with lobbyist(s) if contracted
Treasurer (2 year term)
- Manages finances, including bank account(s), financial reporting, financial record keeping (revenue and expenses),
- Files annual tax paperwork (e.g., Form 990-EZ Return of Organization Exempt Income Tax)
- Files annual report with State of Maryland in order to remain in good standing
- Provides point of contact address for bank accounts
- Provides transparency to membership regarding budget
- Generates fundraising ideas
- Works with Events Committee on fundraising projects and events
- Retains knowledge regarding Wild Apricot system in collaboration with Vice President
Officer of Operations (2 year term)
- Leads Events Committee and Volunteer Committee
- Leads networking and non-CEU events
- Leads Quarterly Newsletter Process
- Works in collaboration with Public Relations Committee to promote events (i.e. website posts and email reminders)
- Posts announcements and updates in the news section of the website
- Ensures the Board is compliant with policies and procedures and MetroMFT bylaws
- Manages timekeeping at Board meetings
- Master of knowledge regarding the website and keeping it up to date

All active clinical members of MetroMFT with MFT licensure in good standing in MD, DC, or VA are welcome to be nominated and encouraged to run for any open seat. If nominated by someone else, you will be notified and be given the opportunity to accept or decline the nomination. If your membership has lapsed, please renew your membership first.
